Dashboard

When you first login to CourseArc, you will see the homepage or Dashboard. The Dashboard consists of three panes: Tasks, Courses, and Comments. The Tasks and Commentpanes will show the most recent items for each category. Click the View All Tasks button to see a complete list of tasks. To view all comments, click View All Comments.

Tasks

The Tasks view has two tabs—My Tasks and Tasks in My Courses.

The My Tasks tab lists all the logged-in user's tasks and the corresponding course, module, page, task, and entry date. Each task is hyperlinked to the course page that it references.

The Tasks in My Courses tab shows Course Leaders all course tasks for their courses with the course name, module, page, task, assignee, and entry date. Each task is hyperlinked to the course page that it references.

Return to the Dashboard by selecting the Dashboard link from the CourseArc navigation banner or the Dashboard/Tasks breadcrumb above the Tasks table.

Comments

The Comments table shows the course, module, page, comment, author, and timestamp. The comments are hyperlinked to the corresponding page.

Comments preceded by a checkmark (✔) are resolved. To hide resolved comments from this view, click the ✔Hide Resolved button.

You can return to the Dashboard by selecting the Dashboard link from the CourseArc navigation banner or the Dashboard/Comments breadcrumb above the Comments table.

Manage Course

The Manage Course view shows the modules within a course. Each module is hyperlinked to navigate to that module. Return to the Dashboard by selecting the link from the CourseArc navigation banner or the Dashboard/Course Title breadcrumb above the Manage Course table.

If a course has a glossary, a Manage dropdown will be shown and contain the Edit Course, Glossary, and Course Report options.

Manage Module

The Manage Module view shows a listing of the pages in a module. Each page title is hyperlinked and will navigate to that course page. Return to the Dashboard or the Manage Course page by selecting the corresponding link from the Dashboard/Course Title breadcrumbs.

If a course has a glossary, a Manage dropdown will be shown and contain the Edit Module, LTI Embed, and Glossary options.

Page View

The Page view is divided into four sections: Navigation, Content, Editing, and Comments. Navigation (left side) contains links to all of the pages within the module and will only appear if your screen is large enough to support it. Content (middle section) shows the page content as it will appear to learners. Editing (right side) features the editing tools used to manage the page content. Comments are displayed along the bottom of the page. Return to the Dashboard, Manage Course page, or Module by selecting the link from the Dashboard/Course Title/Course Module breadcrumb.

Edit Page View

The edit page view allows an editor to view, edit, add, and delete blocks of content. The dotted red lines surrounding each content block indicate that the page is in edit mode. Click the Exit Edit Mode button before leaving the page.
