CourseArc is working to develop a solution so that the following workarounds are not required.

There are three options to work around the "A cookie could not be set." error message.

Option 1

Instruct learners to click the link to open the content in a new window when this message appears. Content and learner tracking will work in the new window.

Option 2

Configure the Chrome browser to allow third-party cookies:

  • In Chrome, paste this text string into the address bar:
    chrome://flags/#same-site-by-default-cookies
  • Set SameSite by default cookies to Disabled

    macOS

    Windows 10
  • Restart Chrome

Option 3

Configure the LMS to open up links in a new window.
