The File Manager allows you to add Alt Text to an image that will be used by default anytime that image is used in an Image block on a page in CourseArc. There are two ways to add Alt Text to an image in the File Manager.



Add Alt Text when an image is uploaded


  1. Upload an image file into the File Manager by selecting the Upload/Drag button or dragging an image (or set of images) into the file list area of the File Manager.

  2. You will be given the option to add Alt Text for the image. Enter the Alt Text in the field provided and select Save. To skip adding Alt Text you can select Close.



  3. The Alt Text entered will be associated with the file and will be used by default any time that image file is added to an Image block is used in CourseArc.

Add or edit Alt Text for an existing image


  1. Select the file you want to add or edit the Alt Text for.
  2. Select Properties from the menu.file select with properties highlighted
  3. Select the pencil icon for the Alt Text area
  4. Add or edit the desired Alt Text.File Alt Text file selected
  5. Select 'Enter' or select the green check mark to save your changes.
