There are a number of ways you can filter files in the File Manager:

Filter using All Files / My Files

By default, the File Manager loads filtered to 'My Files'. This shows you only the files you have uploaded. If you change the toggle to 'All Files' you can see all files that have been uploaded that are set to Public Access. (System Admins and Course Admins can see all files uploaded regardless of access type.)

Filter by Courses

You can see which Files have been added to a Course using the In Course filter. Select the In Course dropdown, then select the course you would like to see the files for.

Note: The All Files an My Files filter also applies when filtering by courses.

Filter by File Set

You can see files based on their File Set association with the In Set(s) filter. Select the In Set(s) dropdown, then select the set or sets you would like to see the files of.

Note: The All Files an My Files filter also applies when filtering by courses.

Filter by Keywords

You can search and filter files by keywords. Enter the word or words you want to search for in the Keywords field and select Search. The File Manager will search file titles and file names for the keywords. If your search is part of another word, that will show as well. For example, the word 'crab' is found in 'scrabble', so a file with 'scrabble' in the title shows.

Note: The All Files an My Files filter also applies when filtering by courses.

Clearing Filters

To clear any filters or searches, select the Clear button. This will reset the File Manager. The Clear button does not reset the All Files / My Files toggle.
