Once a user with the System Administrator or Course Administrator role has created boilerplates in your CourseArc site, you can add boilerplate templates to a page. Note: If you don't have a boilerplate template you need to use often and you don't have the System Administrator or Course Administrator role to create system-wide boilerplates, you can create your own by using your block clipboard.

  1. On the page that needs a boilerplate added, select the Edit this Page button.
  2. Hover the cursor over the Add to Content block, click once, and select Add Boilerplate Template.
  3. The Add Boilerplate Template form will appear showing the available boilerplates. Select the boilerplate needed for the page.
  4. All of the blocks in the boilerplate will appear on the page in edit mode. Configure the blocks as needed, add any additional blocks that are required, and publish the changes.

In edit mode, boilerplate template blocks that have not been customized after being added to the page will appear with a lighter red-dotted-line border.

In edit mode, boilerplate template blocks that have been customized will appear with the same red-dotted-line border as individually added blocks.
