1. From the edit page view, click Add To Content and select Add Block.

  2. From the Add Block modal, select Writing.
  3. The Add Writing form will appear. Complete the Add Writing form fields as follows:
    Point Value: This field will only appear if the module is being graded. The default point value is 5.
    Student Text Editor Mode: Select the text editor mode—simple or advanced—to be displayed for learner use.


    Prompt:* Enter the question for learners to answer.

  4. Once the Add Writing form is complete, select the Add+ button to add the block to the page.

  5. The Writing block will now appear on the page in the edit page view. Select the Publish My Edits button to save the block to the course page.

  6. Once the changes are published, the content will display as it will appear to learners.
