How do I use the Magic Quiz Questions AI Tool to generate a Quiz Bank? : CourseArc

Note: All AI features are an optional add-on that can be purchased with your CourseArc subscription.

Assessments are a vital part of any course, but writing effective questions that align with your content can be time-intensive Magic Quiz Questions helps streamline that process by generating quiz questions based on your existing CourseArc content, pre-existing quiz questions from other platforms, or any text you paste into the tool.

In seconds, you can produce multiple-choice, true/false, ordering, matching, and short-answer questions that reflect the key ideas in your content. Use the AI-generated quiz as a starting point, then customize as needed to fit your objectives and learner needs.

Magic Quiz Questions is available to users with the AI Access global role.

Select the course to which you wish to add content.
In the Manage Course view, select Magic Quiz Questions.
The Magic Quiz Questions form will appear. Complete the following fields:
- Source: Choose what you would like the questions to be based on
  - Text Input: Paste content into the corresponding field.
  - Select from My Content: A list of modules in the course will appear. If a course glossary is in use, the glossary is also an option to select. Check off all the modules you want used to create the quiz questions.
- Audience: Select the audience for your quiz. If K-12 is selected you will be prompted to enter the desired grade level.
- Additional Context: Add any further information or instructions you want to provide. For example:
  - Only use multiple-choice questions
  - Preserve the tone of the original content
  - Make the questions funny or entertaining
- Quiz Bank Title: If you are creating the first Magic Quiz Questions quiz for this course, a new quiz bank will automatically be generated. By default, the title will be "Course QB - NAME OF COURSE. You can change this title to be whatever you want.If this is not your first time creating a Magic Quiz Questions quiz, you will be prompted to choose whether to add the questions to an existing bank for this course created by Magic Quiz Questions or create a new Quiz Bank.
- Desired Number of Questions: Enter the number of questions you want created.
Select the Submit button. The preview pane will indicate it has started processing the request.
Once the process is completed, the content preview will appear in the corresponding field. Review the generated content.
- Select the Show Choices button for each question to view the provided answer choices for any given question.
- If there are any questions you don't want to include, you can uncheck the checkbox next to those questions.
- If you are unhappy with the generated content, go back and make changes to the options area and resubmit to generate a new set of questions.
- Once you select the Add Questions to Quiz Bank button to create the Quiz Bank.
When the content has been created, you will be taken to the newly created Quiz Bank, where an AI-generated tag will automatically be added to the quiz bank. From here, you can make any desired changes to the questions or answers, including adding feedback or hints and selecting a difficulty level.
